So, should we stick with DnD 3.5 base classes for fantasy stuff or whatever, or, should we make some new classes?

I say you should have classes that expand on the skills and abilities of ponies, for example, a Pegasi should have special classes and feats that take advantage of the flying skill, as would the Unicorn have classes that focus on magic and the like. Earth ponies, they can't use magic, so I guess they're stuck with warrior/ranger roles.

Yes, I was thinking three classes available to all, then two for each race. Scholar and Healer for Unicorn Raider and Scout for Pegasus Rancher and Agent for Earth Pony Gladiator and Tunnel Carver for Diamond Dogs Witch Doctor and Shaman for Zebra Then for everypony, Adventurer (warrior) Spy (Rogue) Animal Tamer (ranger) Griffons, I haven't thought of classes for yet.

Should there be a prestige class or two, where can pegasi can learn to use their wings as blades, or something?

Do you think Griffons would have some sort of school of magic?

Possibly, like Alchemy, or maybe some kind of fake magic. Assuming they're based on persian culture, I'd go with Alchemist and Immortal, maybe?

Actually, I already have a chapter for prestige classes. I know one will be Royal Guard for everypony, one will be Wonderbolt/Shadowbolt (Paladin/Blackguard) for pegasi, Unicorns can become Ascendant Magi or Divine Healers Earth Ponies, I'm thinking Sheriff and Fourth Wall Breaker.

Diamond Dogs: Pit Fighter, Entrencher. I say for Griffons, their magic would have something based on eating, what they hunted and ate determines their powers.

I'm definitely loving those DD names better. As for Griffons, power changing with food seems interesting, but maybe for a fighter instead? I don't want to assume Griffons are magical without in show evidence.

Well, I guess it would work more as a gene thing, as in only certain Griffons have that ability, the classes would be named Carnivore, for the power changers, and for more standard fighters, I like the sound of Dragoon.

Ooh, I like this. I do indeed. Kay, so Carnivores can take a full round action to eat the heart of a dead or unconcious enemy in battle to gain different bonuses and abilities based on the species. And Dragoons.... I will work on.

Interesting. Dragoons should use weapons like Throwing Spears and Throwing Knives, a mid range attacker designed to fly circles around the enemy.

For Diamond Dogs, I say Tunnelers should be capable of making pit traps, and able to burrow under the ground to hide themselves for a sneak attack, Gladiators would use Nets, Tridents, and wear light armor.
