[Aurora Moon]

Aurora yawned, as night had hit ponyville...and there she was, sitting on a hill just outside it, under the stars. hours ago she'd run into a fellow weather team pegasus, Cloud Kicker...and gotten the fellow pegasus to join her that night. she'd gotten an OK from her boss to use her talent, so any ponies still up other than her and Cloudy would get to see something lovely on a night they didnt expect it.

the pegasus sighed, as it was one minute to 10, when Cloudy was supposed to show up."i hope she remembered to drink that stuff. i really need to give it a name, too. nocturide, maybe?"she yawned again, looking around, a slight breeze in the air, making the scarf around her neck flow in the wind.

Cloud Kicker tucked the scarf that Aurora Moon had given her earlier that day around her neck. She looked at her reflection in the mirror, turning this way and that to see how she looked. Satisfied, she gave her pale gold mane a few quick brushes. Then she turned over and picked up the bottle full of bubbling purple liquid that Aurora had given her. She blanched slightly and nearly dropped it. The fizzy drink didn't look appetizing, but apparently it helped her stay up and keep warm at night. At least that was how she had interpreted Aurora's description. Cloud Kicker gave the bottle a critical look before shrugging and sighing. "Bottoms up!" she muttered to herself and drank it.

Moments later, Cloud Kicker was coughing violently and huddled by the sink. She didn't feel like throwing up, no, she just felt... well, the drink didn't feel like a medicine. It had tasted like alcohol, really. Sharp and bitter, she hated it upon first taste. But oh well. If it helped her stay up late then that was it. Cloud Kicker downed a cup of milk before heading out. "Aurora?" Cloud Kicker murmured softly, voice hoarse from the harsh drink.

Aurora looked up and saw Cloudy, wearing the scarf she gave the fellow pegasus earlier at that."hey! you made it! so, i have to ask something. what'd that stuff taste like? i probably shoulda mentioned...it tastes different every time. i dont know how, it just....does."she gave a puzzled look, indicating that even tho the drink was her creation...even she didnt fully understand how it works.

the starry-maned pegasus looked to the sky."anyway. enough about weird semi-experimental drinks. you've seen a rainbow before, i assume?...well, i find the auroras i make with my talent....are kinda like the night's version of them. you ready to see one made before your very eyes?"she looked back to Cloudy, leaning over and pecking the mare on the lips, blushing abit, hoping Cloudy didnt mind.

"Oh, yeah," Cloud Kicker muttered before turning her head and coughing. "It tasted like whiskey," she added after a severe clearing-of-throat session. She squinted at Aurora Moon in dismay. "You forgot to tell me that?" The pretty lavender pegasus sighed but shrugged. "It's okay. I should have remembered to ask what it tastes like." Then, in an undertone, Cloud Kicker murmured to herself, "I should have remembered to be careful of drinking or eating something that looks disgusting."

Then in response to Aurora Moon's statement, Cloud Kicker gave a radiant smile. "Oh, yes," she babbled excitedly. "I do love it when Rainbow Dash makes a rainbow in the sky. I'm guessing that she's just about the only pegasus on the day team that knows how to make a rainbow. Then again she is named Rainbow Dash--" The lavender pegasus clamped her mouth shut as Aurora went on to explain about auroras. Cloud Kicker's violet eyes lit up. "I'd always love to see an aurora being made!" Cloud Kicker declared enthusiastically. "Of course, I love to see anything being made, but isn't that a good thing?"

Then Aurora Moon leaned forward and gave her a kiss. Cloud Kicker stopped, slightly puzzled but not at all embarrassed. Of course, she had only just met Aurora, so any kisses exchanged seemed to her to be of friendship, not in a romantic way. Unlike the time that she had kissed Pinch... Colouring slightly, Cloud Kicker gave Aurora a shy smile before inquiring, "What am I to do exactly? I mean, do I come up and help you make an aurora or do I just sit and watch you do it?"

Aurora giggled at Cloudy's questions of what the pegasus had to do, but then blinked."you just get to sit back and enjoy the show, Cloudy. honestly, i kinda envy you because i cant really ever watch myself make an aurora. the few times a pony's told me about how lovely the auroras i make are...they always said the aurora looks unusually lovely as it forms."she sighed abit, but then looked to the sky.

moments later, she flapped her wings, lifting up into the air."well, here goes."she soared up, climbing to an altitude of 500 feet, before suddenly a lovely aurora flowed out from her mane and tail, staying where it formed behind her. she noticed this, and started flying around, in a seemingly random pattern.

15 minutes later, anypony watching would see a shape start to form among the mess of aurora lines and curves. not much longer, and it'd become recognizable, as the shape of a pony.

an hour after Aurora started, she landed...and anypony who looked up from there would see what looked like a pegasus pony that looked eerily like Cloudy made of auroras in the sky. she smiled, bowing to Cloudy."well? what do you think? i've never tried drawing anything in the air with my auroras before...so i hope it turned out alright. do you see what it looks like?"she sat down next to Cloudy, blushing.

"Wow," the lavender pegasus breathed, transfixed by the beautiful aurora. Cloud Kicker nuzzled Aurora Moon affectionately. "It's lovely. I think it might be even better than the rainbow, and Rainbow Dash makes a beautiful rainbow!" Cloud Kicker looked up at the moon with bright shining eyes, the aurora reflected back into it. Then suddenly she realised that Aurora had commented before on the makings of an aurora. Cloud Kicker felt slightly guilty. "Maybe next time I'll record it for you so you can see," Cloud Kicker suggested lightly, turning violet eyes on the other pegasi.

A small smile sprouted on her face. "You looked brilliant out there! The drawing is so nice." Cloud Kicker flashed Aurora Moon a mischievous grin. "Maybe next time, you could try to make a pegasus pony. You draw the earth pony right, why not an earth pony with wings?

she blinked at Cloudy."er...thats what i was going for. ehehe. i uh...i tried drawing you. my art skills arent the best, are they? still, its the thought that counts, yes?"she draped a hoof over Cloudy's back, blushing at the nuzzling from her friend, smiling as she used her other front hoof to turn Cloudy's head towards her own, pulling the mare into a deep kiss.

when the kiss broke minutes later, her cheeks were practically a cherry red she was blushing so bright."s-sorry."the pegasus looked away embarassed."i...i guess i shoulda mentioned...while most mares are only into colts...i uh...i'm what some ponies believe Rainbow Dash is. a lesbian. i only have interest in..in other mares."if she could blush any brighter...she probably would be right now!

Cloud Kicker blinked and blushed guiltily. "Oh... I'm sorry. I didn't see the wings." As she concentrated on the aurora, she noticed the two bumps at the sides, showing wings. Her violet eyes widened and she gave a cry of triumph. "Never mind, I see it now! You're such a good artist, even though you don't know half of what you're doing!" Cloud Kicker turned to beam at the other pegasus when suddenly she was brought into a sweet kiss. Cloud Kicker froze for a minute in surprise before finally relaxing.

Finally it ended, and Aurora Moon confessed of her maresbian preference. Cloud Kicker listened quietly as Aurora Moon tried desperately to explain herself, slanted eyes fixed entirely on her face. As Aurora Moon stumbled to a stop, Cloud Kicker gave a light giggle before leaning in and giving the other mare a gentle kiss to the cheek. "I don't have any problems with it," she said quietly.

Aurora smiled, giving a light murr at Cloudy's kiss to her cheek, giggling abit at her apparently unwarrented worry of rejection."so, you apparently like my aurora art. how are my skills at kissing? did you enjoy it?"the starry-maned pegasus closed her eyes, nuzzling Cloudy gently, and affectionately, scooting over abit more so they were as close together as possible. she always did believe that the best time to be romantic was at night. something about that time just made anything romantic seem even more so than it would in the day.

Cloud Kicker's eyes sparkled teasingly. "I wasn't aware that there was anything else to it, just kissing," the pegasus commented lightly, only half-joking. I mean, seriously. How else were you supposed to kiss? With your hoof?

The pegasus leaned her head on Aurora's shoulder and closed her eyes. She didn't prefer to become a couple with her just yet. Because, really, though Aurora was sweet, Cloud Kicker liked to take it slow. Besides, she had her other eye on that male unicorn, Pinch Harmonic.

Cloud Kicker let out a gentle sigh of contentment, but it wasn't long before she asked, "What time is it?"

she blinked at the question of what time it was, though did chuckle at Cloudy's comment on kissing."uh...i dunno. i think it took an hour for me to draw you with my aurora talent...and so...probably 11:15, 11:20, maybe. i dunno. just a rough estimate."she yawned. despite being wide awake, it was still night out, so she'd still yawn on occasion.

smiling, she gently rubbed Cloudy's side with her front-left hoof, the one draped over her friend, and potential marefriend, she thought."and, there is abit more to kissing than you think. its hard to judge one's skill, unless you're on the receiving end of a kiss. there's also afew ways to make a kiss much better. maybe you'd like me to show you one, Cloudy?"she giggled, turning her friend's head back towards her own."also, if you say yes...be sure to close your eyes for this one. it heightens the sensations of kissing, allowing a kiss to be more enjoyable."

Cloud Kicker blinked for a moment before she gave a hesitant smile. "...Okay." Cloud Kicker leaned in and softly touched her lips to Aurora's, before closing her eyes. She didn't know how it heightened the sensation but she wasn't going to say that out loud.

Aurora giggled."alrighty. it's called a 'french' kiss. im not sure why it's called that...but.."she shrugged, before feeling Cloudy's lips press to her own, blushing quite abit, her wings raising up on their own.

smiling, she pressed into the kiss, closing her own eyes as well, her tongue slipping out, past the lips of the other pegasus, her tongue gently rubbing against Cloudy's gently, murring into the tongue kiss gently, holding Cloudy close with her hooves, hoping her new friend was enjoying it as much as she was.

Cloud Kicker flinched back as Aurora Moon's tongue rubbed against hers, but remained in place as Aurora's hooves were wrapped around her. A 'French' kiss? What was a French? Maybe it meant tongue in another language. She didn't know what to do exactly and was briefly afraid of doing something wrong.

blushing, the pegasus continued to rub her tongue all over inside Cloudy's mouth for afew minutes longer, before breaking the kiss."h-how was it? a-abit weird i'm guessing, but it was...it was still nice, yes? maybe...you'd like to try again, and try letting your tongue have some fun this time? if you're uncertain what to do...just...experiment. its what the book i read on this said. just experiment, and let your tongue explore."honestly, she didnt know what a 'french' was either. that book that taught her about 'french kissing' was just weird. she tried to avoid thinking about the oddities in it, prefering to focus on Cloudy.
